Mt. Roberts Tram

Mt. Roberts, Alaska

This aerial tram travels from the Juneau waterfront to a plateau at the 1,800 ft. level on Mt. Roberts. The lower terminal has ticketing, lobby, and loading areas along with extensive improvements to the site. An expanded seawalk around the terminal enhances access to Juneau's waterfront. Parking for 60 vehicles, loading and unloading for up to 6 motor coaches and designated areas for vendor sales resulted through a series of planning sessions with users, CBJ committees, and CDD staff. The project also includes a Visitor's Center as part of the lower terminal and a restaurant, amphitheatre, retail stores, and interpretive exhibits as part of the upper terminal
