Hagevig Regional Fire Training Center

Completed in 1981, this training facility was the first of its kind in Southeast Alaska and offers opportunities for both marine and structural fire fighting training with the capability to conduct training during winter and inclement weather conditions. The structural area is used to simulate residential, commercial and industrial fire fighting situations. The marine training section is a flexible 3 story area designed to simulate spaces within a large ship. The project received an AIA Honor Award in 1981.
